AAU får stor bevilling til projekt i samarbejde med Maersk Line Published 28. October 2011
Den Danske Maritime Fond bevilliger per 1. november en betydelig støtte til første del af et 2-årigt projekt omhandlende Yield Management (YM) i container- og linershipping. Aalborg Universitet, Institut for Mekanik og Produktion, er hovedaktør i projektet i samarbejde med software virksomheden Ange Optimization og verdens største containerrederi Maersk Line, der sidder på 16 % af verdensmarkedet.

Dansk EU-succes: Nye materialer gør bilen 100 kg lettere Published 26. October 2011
Nye stærke nano-materialer fra et stort EU-støttet forskningsprojekt kan slanke personbilers vægt med helt op til 100 kg og nedsætte brændstofforbruget med fem procent. Resultaterne kommer fra projektet ”Nanotough”, som under ledelse af Aalborg Universitet nu bliver fremhævet som succeshistorie af Europa-Kommissionens afdeling for Forskning og Innovation.

M-Tech professor Ole Thybo Thomsen står i spidsen for stor international konference. København har vundet værtskabet for en af verdens største kongresser inden for bæredygtig materialeteknologi. State of the Art Laboratories Strengthens Research in Wind Turbines in Northern Jutland Published 29. March 2011
The modernisation of laboratories of 70 million kroner Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering strengthens the foundation for research in composite materials, which are used for turbine wings, among others. The aim is to create competitive wings for the Danish wind industry.
